π Your Mission:
To perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, durability, and compliance with Swiss and international codes. You will be a key player in transforming architectural visions into buildable, efficient, and resilient structures.
β Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other structures using advanced engineering software.
- Prepare and review detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports. π
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated design solutions.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction, inspect conditions, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Evaluate the structural integrity of existing buildings and recommend retrofitting or strengthening solutions.
- Ensure all designs comply with Swiss (SIA) and Eurocode regulations, as well as other relevant international standards.
- Manage project tasks, timelines, and budgets for structural engineering deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team’s knowledge base.
π οΈ Required Skills & Software Proficiency:
The ideal candidate MUST HAVE proven expertise with:
- Analysis & Design Software: ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and Robot Structural Analysis
- BIM Software: Strong proficiency in Revit for structural modeling and collaboration.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of structural mechanics, dynamics, and finite element analysis.
- Codes & Standards: Expert knowledge of Eurocodes and Swiss SIA standards is essential.
- Design Expertise: Proven experience in the design of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures.
- Communication: Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills for client and team interaction.
- Languages: Professional proficiency in English and German (both written and verbal) is mandatory.
π― Qualifications & Experience:
- Masterβs degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in structural analysis and design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or the ability to obtain Swiss recognition is a significant advantage.
