Key Responsibilities 🎯
- Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA) to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends and propose adopting them where beneficial.
Must-Have Skills & Technologies 🛠️
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in Backend Development: Strong experience with PHP and/or Python. Deep understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugin architecture is essential.
- Frontend Mastery: Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SASS. Experience with a frontend framework like React.js or Vue.js is highly desirable.
- Database Management: Strong skills in MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design and optimization.
- Version Control: Proficient with Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows.
- API Expertise: Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
- Understanding of Web Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of web security (OWASP), performance optimization, and responsive design.
Nice-to-Have Skills 🌟
- Experience with headless WordPress architectures.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools like Docker, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit, Jest, Cypress).
