📋 Position Overview

KILONEWTONS is seeking a dynamic, highly technical, and analytical PETROLEUM ENGINEER to spearhead our subsurface reservoir evaluation, extraction optimization, and energy infrastructure operations in Abu Dhabi 🏙️. In this crucial role, you will design, model, and supervise complex drilling programs, well completions, and reservoir performance strategies for our heavy industrial and energy-sector ventures. Your engineering expertise will drive resource recovery efficiency while maintaining our uncompromising standards for structural and environmental safety.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Reservoir Characterization & Modeling: Evaluate subsurface geological formations, fluid properties, and pressure data to build comprehensive reservoir simulation models and optimize recovery rates. 📊
  • Drilling & Well Completion Design: Engineer safe, cost-effective, and high-performance drilling programs, wellbore trajectories, casing designs, and completion string assemblies. ⛏️
  • Production Optimization: Monitor well performance, diagnose flow bottlenecks, and implement artificial lift techniques or stimulation treatments to maximize output. ⚙️
  • Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Partner closely with structural engineers, project managers, and HSE teams to integrate surface facility layouts, wellhead platforms, and pipeline routing into master blueprints. 🤝
  • Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure all drilling and extraction operations comply strictly with UAE environmental regulations, ADNOC standards, and international oil & gas safety codes (ISO/API). 🛡️
  • Risk & Economic Assessment: Conduct rigorous risk analyses, production forecasting, and capital expenditure (CapEx) evaluations for ongoing and proposed energy projects. 💰
  • Technical Documentation: Author detailed engineering reports, operational manuals, wellsite programs, and regulatory compliance filings for stakeholders. 📝

🛠️ Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on petroleum or reservoir engineering experience within the oil & gas, energy infrastructure, or heavy industrial sector. ⏱️
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 🎓
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced command of industry-standard petroleum engineering and simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, Prosper, GAP, CMG), alongside AutoCAD and Revit (for spatial layout integration) and STAAD.Pro or Tekla Structures (for evaluating offshore platform and surface structural loads). 💻
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fluid mechanics, rock mechanics, multi-phase flow, well logging, and artificial lift systems. 🛢️
  • Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English; fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is considered a strong operational advantage in the UAE. 🗣️
