Job Title : Mechanical Engineer

KILONEWTONS is seeking a talented and meticulous Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our dynamic engineering team in Moscow, Russia. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components, contributing directly to our flagship projects.

🌟 Key Responsibilities:
- Product Design & Development: Lead the design and development of new mechanical components and systems from concept to production, creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings. ✏️
- Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering calculations and simulations, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress, vibration, and thermal analysis to ensure design integrity and reliability.
- Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the prototyping process, coordinate testing and validation activities, analyze results, and iterate designs based on findings.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, bill of materials (BOM), test reports, and user manuals. 📋
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, software developers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for performance, manufacturability, and cost.
- Project Management: Manage engineering tasks within projects, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for product improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced performance on existing designs.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
🛠️ Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Expert proficiency in CAD software: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX. 🖥️
- Strong experience with simulation and analysis tools: ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, or similar FEA software.
- In-depth knowledge of core mechanical engineering principles: mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Proven experience with product development lifecycles (ideation, design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing).
- Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems for data management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Professional fluency in Russian and English.
