🦺 Key Responsibilities
As an HSE OFFICER, your responsibilities will include:
- 🛡️ Implementing and monitoring Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures
- 🧯 Conducting regular safety inspections and audits on construction/project sites
- 📋 Preparing and maintaining HSE documentation, risk assessments, and incident reports
- 🚧 Ensuring compliance with local and international HSE laws, regulations, and standards
- 🧠 Promoting a culture of safety awareness through training and toolbox talks
- 🧾 Investigating near-misses, accidents, and implementing corrective actions
- 📈 Reporting HSE performance to management and ensuring continual improvement
- 🤝 Coordinating with site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors for safe work practices
✅ Skills & Qualifications
✅ Minimum 5 years of proven HSE experience in construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
✅ NEBOSH IGC Certification (mandatory)
✅ ISO 45001, ISO 14001 knowledge preferred
✅ Strong command of HSE standards, laws, and risk management practices
✅ Proficient in the following software/tools:
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Incident Reporting Tools (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, or equivalent)
- HSE Management Systems (digital or manual)
✅ Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills
✅ Ability to train, influence, and lead safety practices across teams
