📋 Key Responsibilities & Duties:
As a vital member of our technical team, you will be responsible for:
- Spatial Data Management: Developing, maintaining, and managing enterprise geodatabases and spatial data infrastructure. 💾
- GIS Analysis & Modeling: Performing advanced spatial analysis (e.g., overlay, proximity, network analysis) to support engineering, planning, and environmental projects. 📊
- Cartography & Visualization: Designing, creating, and updating high-quality digital and print maps, web maps, and interactive dashboards for clients and stakeholders. 🗾
- Remote Sensing: Processing and analyzing satellite imagery and aerial photography for various applications. 🛰️
- Web GIS Development: Configuring and managing ArcGIS Online/Enterprise platforms and developing interactive web mapping applications. 🌐
- Project Support: Providing crucial GIS support to engineering and project management teams, ensuring accurate spatial data integration. 🤝
- Automation & Scripting: Developing scripts and models (e.g., using Python, ModelBuilder) to automate workflows and improve efficiency. ⚙️
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and currency of all spatial data and metadata.
🛠️ Must-Have Skills & Software Proficiency:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience as a GIS Specialist or Analyst.
- Expert Proficiency in the following software and technologies is ESSENTIAL:
- ArcGIS Pro (Advanced License) 🖥️
- ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap)
- ArcGIS Online / ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal)
- QGIS 🗺️
- Python for GIS automation (e.g., ArcPy, GeoPandas, Fiona) 🐍
- Strong database management skills with experience in SQL and enterprise geodatabases.
- Solid understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and data integration techniques.
- Experience with CAD to GIS conversion and working with engineering data is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cartographic design skills.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities in English.
