📋 Key Responsibilities

• Facade Design & Engineering: Spearhead the structural and thermal design of unitized curtain walls, stick systems, rainscreens, glass canopies, and bespoke cladding elements. 📐

• Structural & Thermal Analysis: Perform rigorous structural calculations, wind load assessments, thermal bridging evaluations, and movement analyses to guarantee compliance with British and European standards. 💻

• Detailing & Shop Drawing Review: Produce and review comprehensive fabrication drawings, connection details, bracketry specifications, and material schedules. 📝

• Material & Metallurgical Integration: Oversee the selection of high-grade aluminum profiles, structural steel framing, and specialized glass types, leveraging KILONEWTONS’ industrial expertise. ⚙️

• Quality Assurance & Testing: Coordinate laboratory testing (air, water, and structural performance) and oversee on-site installation quality audits to ensure zero-defect delivery. 🛡️

🛠️ Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on facade engineering or building envelope design experience within the commercial construction sector. ⏳

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline. 🎓

• Software Proficiency:

  • Advanced mastery of industry-standard facade and structural design software including Straus7, SAP2000, ANSYS, or 顧 (Fenster / specialized facade tools). 🖥️

  • Proficiency in drafting and modeling platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhino / Grasshopper. 🗺️

  • Competence in thermal modeling tools (THERM) and Microsoft Office Suite for rigorous technical reporting. 📊

• Technical & Soft Skills: Deep knowledge of CWCT, British Standards (BS), and Eurocodes, waterproofing principles, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and robust cross-functional communication. ✨
