📝 Key Responsibilities & Duties:
As a Drywall Installer at KILONEWTONS, you will be responsible for:
- 📏 Measuring, cutting, and installing drywall panels on metal studs and wood framing with precision and efficiency.
- 🔨 Taping, finishing, and sanding joints and corners to create seamless, smooth surfaces ready for painting.
- 💻 Reading and interpreting digital blueprints and drawings on tablets or mobile devices.
- ✅ Using relevant software for accessing updated project plans, markups, and task allocations.
- 🛡️ Strictly adhering to all KILONEWTONS and site-specific Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols.
- 🤝 Collaborating effectively with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure clean integration of work.
- 🔧 Installing metal stud framing for walls and ceilings to layout specifications.
- 🧹 Applying texturing compounds and performing repairs on existing drywall surfaces.
- 🧼 Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
✅ Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional drywall installation experience, with specific and verifiable experience in the Gulf region (GCC).
- MUST HAVE proficiency with relevant construction software, including:
- Blueprint reading apps (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanGrid, AutoCAD mobile)
- Project management apps for task tracking
- Basic MS Office for reporting and communication
- Expertise in all aspects of drywall work, including metal stud framing, hanging, taping, and finishing.
- Knowledge of different drywall types and their appropriate applications (e.g., moisture-resistant, fire-rated).
- An unwavering commitment to workplace safety and quality craftsmanship.
- The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a pride in delivering flawless finished surfaces.
