π Key Responsibilities & Duties:
As a Carpenter at KILONEWTONS, you will be responsible for:
- π Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements.
- βοΈ Measuring, marking, and cutting materials with precision (including wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall).
- ποΈ Constructing, installing, and repairing structural woodwork, such as concrete formwork, framing, partitions, and joists.
- βοΈ Inspecting and selecting suitable materials for projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
- π‘οΈ Strictly adhering to all KILONEWTONS and site-specific Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations without exception.
- π Operating and maintaining a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively.
- π€ Collaborating closely with project managers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- π Checking completed work for accuracy and compliance with building codes and standards.
- π§Ή Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
β Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional carpentry experience, with specific and verifiable experience in the Gulf region (GCC).
- Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry techniques for both rough framing (formwork) and finish carpentry.
- Proficiency in reading technical documents and a strong understanding of building codes.
- An unwavering commitment to workplace safety and quality craftsmanship.
- The physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor and handle heavy materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant vocational training or a carpentry certification is a significant advantage.
