Job Description

KILONEWTONS is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Cairo, Egypt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the company’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting standards (EG-IFRS) and tax regulations.
• Process payroll, employee expenses, and vendor payments accurately and on time.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial discrepancies.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA certification is a plus).
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multinational environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables).
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws (VAT, WHT, corporate tax).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based accounting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
