📋 Position Overview

KILONEWTONS is seeking a highly technical, innovative, and detail-oriented HVAC SYSTEMS DESIGN ENGINEER to lead our thermal management, industrial ventilation, and climate control engineering operations in Hyderabad 🏙️. In this vital role, you will design, model, and optimize advanced heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and clean-air systems for our heavy industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and commercial developments. Your engineering expertise will ensure optimal environmental control, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance across all our physical assets.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Thermal & HVAC System Design: Engineer comprehensive HVAC, VRF, chiller plant, ventilation, and exhaust systems tailored for heavy industrial and high-capacity commercial structures. 🌬️
Load Calculations & Energy Modeling: Perform meticulous cooling and heating load calculations (using ASHRAE standards), psychrometric analysis, and energy consumption modeling to maximize operational efficiency. 📊
Equipment Specification & Sizing: Select, size, and specify mission-critical equipment including air handling units (AHUs), cooling towers, chillers, pumps, ductwork networks, and filtration systems. ⚙️
Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Partner seamlessly with structural engineers, electrical teams, and project managers to integrate ducting routes, piping layouts, and equipment weight loads into master blueprints. 🤝
Regulatory Compliance & Safety Audits: Ensure all thermal designs comply strictly with national and international building codes, indoor air quality (IAQ) standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and environmental regulations. 🛡️
Technical Documentation: Author detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), schematic drawings, technical specifications, and operation manuals. 📝
Commissioning & Troubleshooting: Provide expert engineering support during system installation, site testing, commissioning, and root-cause troubleshooting of thermal anomalies. ⚡

🛠️ Required Qualifications & Experience

Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HVAC design and thermal engineering experience within the industrial, manufacturing, or large-scale commercial construction sector. ⏱️
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 🎓
Software Proficiency: Advanced command of industry-standard HVAC design and modeling software, including Carrier HAP, TRACE 700 / 3D Plus, Revit MEP, and AutoCAD (for spatial layout and drafting), alongside STAAD.Pro or Tekla Structures (for evaluating rooftop equipment loads and structural roof penetrations). 💻
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer principles, variable refrigerant flow systems, and industrial smoke extraction design. 🌡️
