Role Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support our operations in Chennai. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain for our engineering and construction projects. In this role, you will ensure the timely, safe, and cost-effective transportation of construction materials, heavy machinery, and equipment, serving as a critical link between our suppliers, transport partners, and on-site engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities: * Coordinate and monitor the daily supply chain operations, ensuring construction materials and equipment reach project sites on schedule.

Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and transportation companies to secure the best rates and reliable service.

Track shipments meticulously, resolving any delays, transit issues, or discrepancies immediately to prevent project downtime.

Maintain accurate logs of inventory, delivery times, transport costs, and vehicle maintenance records.

Ensure all transportation and logistics operations comply with local Indian safety regulations, customs, and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Skills: * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar supply chain role, preferably within the heavy engineering, construction, or manufacturing sectors.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.

Strong negotiation and communication skills for dealing with vendors and internal teams.

Proficiency in logistics software and standard inventory management systems.
