🧠 Job Overview
As a Process Engineer at KILONEWTONS, you’ll be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing process systems to ensure high performance, reliability, and compliance with global standards. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.
This is a full-time position based in Doha, Qatar.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 🔬 Design, develop, and optimize process systems for oil, gas, and industrial operations.
- ⚙️ Conduct process simulations, mass and energy balances, and system modeling.
- 🧩 Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and safety.
- 💡 Participate in process design reviews, P&ID development, and HAZOP studies.
- 📊 Prepare process documentation including data sheets, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and technical reports.
- 🧮 Monitor production performance and troubleshoot process bottlenecks.
- 🌡️ Support commissioning and start-up activities for new plants and facilities.
- 🔍 Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental, and safety regulations.
- 🤝 Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and quality teams for seamless execution.
💻 Required Skills & Software Proficiency
- Strong knowledge of process design, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Proficiency in key engineering software such as:
- Aspen HYSYS / Aspen Plus
- CHEMCAD / PRO-II
- AutoCAD / P&ID Tools
- MATLAB or Python (for process data analysis)
- Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO, and IEC standards.
- Experience with simulation modeling, energy optimization, and control systems.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Process Engineer in oil, gas, or industrial sectors.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven experience in process optimization, safety management, and plant operations.
