⚙️ Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SAFETY OFFICER to implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and compliance across our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, a proactive approach to risk management, and hands-on experience in industrial or construction safety supervision.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
✅ Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety plans, policies, and procedures.
✅ Conduct regular site safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
✅ Ensure compliance with local labor laws and safety regulations.
✅ Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports.
✅ Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks for site personnel.
✅ Maintain proper records of safety observations, inspections, and incidents.
✅ Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure safe work practices.
✅ Promote a safety-first culture across all teams and departments.
✅ Ensure the use and maintenance of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
✅ Recommend corrective actions for identified hazards and follow up on their implementation.
💡 Required Skills & Software Knowledge
🔹 Excellent knowledge of HSE management systems, OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001 standards.
🔹 Proficient in MS Office, incident reporting tools, and risk assessment software.
🔹 Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and emergency procedures.
🔹 Exceptional communication, observation, and documentation skills.
🔹 Ability to lead safety meetings and deliver effective training sessions.
🔹 Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
🎓 Qualifications
🎯 Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
🎯 Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction or industrial projects.
🎯 Must hold NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certifications (or equivalent).
🎯 Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is an added advantage.
