🚀 Position Overview
As a Drone Engineer at KILONEWTONS, you will lead the design, testing, and deployment of high-performance drone systems. You’ll collaborate with our robotics, AI, and aerodynamics teams to build efficient UAVs that combine mechanical precision with advanced software control.

🧠 Key Responsibilities
✅ Design and develop drone platforms, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
✅ Program and integrate flight control systems using onboard sensors and AI modules.
✅ Conduct simulations, testing, and calibration to ensure flight stability and accuracy.
✅ Develop and maintain UAV software using robotics frameworks and control algorithms.
✅ Work with 3D modeling, CFD, and CAD tools for drone component design.
✅ Integrate computer vision, LiDAR, GPS, and machine learning algorithms into UAV systems.
✅ Optimize drone payloads for surveillance, mapping, logistics, and industrial applications.
✅ Ensure compliance with aviation and safety regulations.
✅ Collaborate with R&D teams to improve drone efficiency, energy consumption, and performance.

📡 Sensors & Communication: LiDAR, IMU, GPS, Camera Modules, RF, 4G/5G
📊 Software: QGroundControl, Mission Planner, Gazebo, AirSim
🧬 AI/ML Tools: OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch (for object detection and autonomous flight)
🌐 Cloud Platforms (Preferred): AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud Robotics
🔧 Bonus: Knowledge of aerodynamics, battery management systems, and VTOL technology
🎯 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in drone design and development.
- Proven experience with UAV hardware and software integration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
- Understanding of airspace regulations and drone operation safety protocols.
